Omaha Steaks to Hire Thousands for Holiday Gift Giving Season

Temporary Employees Can Earn Up to $2,500 in Holiday Cash!

OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Omaha Steaks, one of the largest seasonal employers in Omaha, today announced plans to begin hiring for more than 4,000 full and part-time temporary holiday positions that pay up to $16 per hour.

With an anticipated increase in gift giving in 2014, Omaha Steaks is offering attendees the chance to win cash prizes at all of the company’s 20-plus job fairs held in October.

Beginning Oct. 6, Omaha Steaks will hold onsite job fairs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekly, through the end of October:

Applicants can complete the entire application process, including onsite testing and interviews during the job fairs. Opportunities include a variety of call center, warehouse and local truck driving positions. Most positions are in Omaha, but hundreds of positions will be located in Bellevue and near Gretna.

“We are looking to fill a variety of positions including office staff, logistics clerks, local truck drivers, inbound, customer care and warehouse positions,” said Brian DeVeney, Employment and Training Manager. “Holiday hires have the potential to earn $2,500 over the holiday season and receive our employee discount for an entire year.”

DeVeney added that new holiday hires will be entered to win $1,000 cash prize drawings held weekly during November and into December. “We know the metro area is competitive when it comes to hiring,” he said. “We want the very best people to help us deliver the gift of Omaha Steaks this holiday season.”
