Veterans Honored at Three Veterans Day Ceremonies

BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Over 90 veterans and spouses will be honored during 3 different Veterans Day Ceremonies.

Keystone Hospice, in partnership with Garden Plaza of Valley View, Hillcrest Assisted Living, and Brookdale Senior Living of Boise will honor all veterans for serving our country by giving each one of them a certificate and a veteran pin. Wives who served alongside their veterans will also be honored with a rose.

Keystone Hospice’s Chaplain, Norm Geyer, MAJ, USA Chaplain (Ret), will be overseeing the veteran ceremony, as well as singing “God Bless America” to conclude the service. Chaplain Geyer entered the Army in 1987 as a Second Lieutenant. His various stations include: Fort Carson, Colorado, Germany, and Fort Bliss, Texas. He also served in the Army Reserves, the Idaho National Guard, and as the Commander for the DAV, Chapter 1, in Caldwell, for two years. He medically retired in 2003 as a Major.

Travis Farber, SGT, is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, USMC, (Ret) and served as a Motor Transport and Artillery NCO. During Sgt. Farber’s service from September 2006 to July 2013, he did tours in Iraq as well as Afghanistan. Sgt. Farber will be paying tribute to the veterans with certificates honoring their service to our country.

President of Keystone Hospice Leonard “Lenny” Jensen, CPT, USA Nurse Corps, served in the army for 16 years. He served in the Second Infantry Division of the 101st Airborne in Fort Campbell, KY, as well as in the 47th Combat Support Hospital. Lenny also was stationed at Camp Hovey, South Korea and while in the Army Nurse Corps he served in many hospitals from Walter Reed, DC to Fort Lewis, WA. He will be honoring the veterans by presenting pins which recognize their sacrifice and contribution to our country.

Tiffany Farber MSW, Social Worker at Keystone Hospice is the spouse of veteran SGT Travis Farber. She will be giving the wives of our veterans with a rose, thanking them for their support of their veteran and our country.
