Phoenix & Northern Arizona McDonald’s Host Backpack Saturday, July 26, Restaurants To Giveaway 25,000 Free Backpacks

PHOENIX, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — McDonald’s restaurants throughout greater Phoenix and northernArizona will host Backpack Saturday, July 26^th, an event that will give away 25,000 backpacks and help thousands of families get ready for school!

Beginning at 8 a.m., McDonald’s restaurants will begin distributing the FREE backpacks to the first 100 children, accompanied by parent, that visit their local McDonald’s restaurant.  Children will also receive a FREE Go-GURT Low-Fat Strawberry Yogurt, in celebration of McDonald’s new Happy Meal choice. In addition, a special educational bookmark from Expect More Arizona’s “Today I Will” initiative will be distributed to parents.

The backpacks will be given away at McDonald’s restaurants in Maricopa, La Paz, Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino,Gila, Navajo, Apache, Graham, Pinal and Yuma counties. The FREE Backpack offer excludes Walmart and shopping mall McDonald’s restaurant locations.
